Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Attempting to upgrade to 8.0.1c VCSA and Phase 1 completes without issue. Phase 2 pre-checks report the following - Pre-upgrade check result Error Source vCenter Server schema validation found an issue.

Cause

There are some tables that don't belong in the VCDB, we need to drop them before performing the upgrade process.

Resolution

"Please contact Broadcom support for the resolution for this issue."

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:

• Before making any changes to the VCDB, take a Snapshot of the vCenter.
• Stop the VPXD service before entering the DB to make changes. After you make the change, the VPXD service can be started again.
