TKGI-based application using NSX T LB fail as the Load Balancer cannot retrieve L7 LB information.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Creation of NSX-T Load balancer fails
• TKGI based applications cannot access NSX-T L7 LB information.
• HTTP failure response errors similar to the below, will be observed when tried to click on L7 LB on NSX UI

Error message: The requested object: LoadBalancerPool/<UUID> could not be found. Object identifiers are case sensitive. (Error code: 600)

 

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x
VMware NSX-T Data Center

Cause

This issue is observed in NSX-T 3.1.3 and TKGI /PKS 1.14.1
Logs are rolled over when the NCP triggers delete workflow. Hence cause is not available.

Resolution

Fix is available in version 4.1.1.0

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:

• TKGI Based applications using NSX-T Load balancers Fail. As a result, applications relying on that LB fail.
• NSX-T Load Balancer based TKGI application impacted.
• New LB Instance creation on NSX-T Fails
