Communication from Transport node to leader Manager node is down Alarm in NSX Manager

Issue/Introduction

Title: Alarm for communication.management_channel_to_transport_node_down
Event ID: communication.management_channel_to_transport_node_down

Alarm Description

• Purpose: Alarm is raised when the messaging channel between Manager node and Transport node is down.
• Impact: Monitoring status, stats and alarms cannot be sent by the Transport node to the leader Manager node.

Resolution

Steps to resolve

For 3.0.2 and higher

 

Resolution:

1. Ensure there is network connectivity between the Transport node and the leader Manager node. Also ensure no firewalls are blocking traffic between the nodes.
2. Ensure the messaging manager service is running on Manager nodes by invoking the command `/etc/init.d/messaging-manager status`. If the messaging manager is not
   running, restart it by invoking the command `/etc/init.d/messaging-manager restart`.
