Issue/Introduction

Title: Alarm for edge flow cache deactivated
Event ID: edge_health.flow_cache_deactivated
Alarm Description

• Purpose: The purpose of this alarm is to notify users when flow cache is disabled.
• Impact: Flow cache being disabled leads to potentially impacting the overall edge throughput.

Environment

VMware NSX

 

Edge Form factors:

• Bare Metal Edge
• VM Edge

Cause

Flow cache is disabled on NSX Edge node 

Resolution

Steps to Resolve
For 4.1.1 and higher

Recommended Action:

This alarm is automatically resolved upon re-enabling of flow cache.

• To enable flow-cache on the Edge node to run 'set dataplane flow-cache enabled'  Edge CLI. 
• Restart dataplane after Flow Cache is enabled using 'restart service dataplane'  Edge CLI.
