Custom properties from an Approval policy are not being applied to virtual machine

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• You are providing the custom properties using the approval policy rather than in the Blueprint.
• Custom properties from an Approval policy are not being applied to Virtual machine.

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 7.4.x

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware vRealize Automation 7.4.

This issue is resolved in VMware vRealize Automation 7.5, available at VMware Downloads.

Workaround:

To work around this issue, disable custom property validation in vRA.
 

1. Log in to all vRA appliances using root credentials.
    
2. Edit etc/vcac/enabled-features.properties and set EnableCustomPropertyValidation=false on all vRA nodes.
    
3. Restart vcac-server service on all vRA nodes by running this command:
   service vcac-server restart
