Symptoms:
  • In VAMI page while trying to patch the vCenter Server getting an error message "Error in method invocation Exception occurred while unzipping patch script, please retry after sometime".

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

Resolution

To resolve this issue please follow the below steps:
  1. Login to vCenter Server VAMI page https://<VC FQDN or VC IP_address>:5480
  2. Select Update tab and click on CHECK UPDATES > Check CD ROM + URL option.
  3. You should be able to see the Patch details.
