[VMC] "RuntimeException: HCX authentication failed or HCX server is unreachable" is displayed on HCX plug-in.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When logged into the vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance (VCGA) and opening the HCX plug-in in case of Hybrid Linked Mode, the following error message is displayed.
・Message : "RuntimeException: HCX authentication failed or HCX server is unreachable"


When logged into the vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance (VCGA) and opening the HCX plug-in in case of Hybrid Linked Mode, the HCX UI performs slowly or there are missing/duplicated UI elements.

Cause

This is a current limitation within the vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance.

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution to this issue.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue, login to the Cloud HCX Manager or OnPrem HCX Manager to manage your HCX Environment. The limitation only exists when accessing the HCX Plug-in via VCGA/HLM.
