The following sections explain how to enable SNMP and SOAP access for Smarts VoIP-AM server.
Setting SNMP Access
For all Cisco Call Managers within the Cluster, verify the required Platform Services are running as follows:
- Log in to your Cisco Call Manager interface with Admin Credentials.
- At top right corner under Navigation, select Cisco Unified Serviceability.
- Under the Tools drop down menu, Select Control Center - Network Services.
- Select your Server and click the Go Button.
- Scroll Down to Platform Services and confirm/ensure the following platform services are running:

- SNMP Primary Agent
- MIB2 Agent
- Host Resources Agent
Setting SOAP Credentials/Roles required for Cisco Call Manager
For Smarts VoIP Availability Manager and VoIP Performance Manager to successfully communicate with a Cisco Call Manager (CCM) using SOAP, user needs to create a Cisco Application user account with the appropriate permissions. Using the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration Console, user needs to determine the CCM Admin User ID to use and assign it as the Application User.
The following Permissions Information Roles must be set:
- Standard AXL API Access
- Standard Admin Rep Tool Admin
- Standard CCM Admin Users
- Standard CCMADMIN Readme
- Standard CUReporting
- Standard EM Authentication Proxy Rights
- Standard RealtimeAndTraceCollection
- Standard SERVICEABLILITY Administration
Required SOAP-related services
Verify/ensure that the following services are running at a minimum:
- Cisco AXL Web Service
- Cisco SOAP Services (especially SOAP -Real-Time Service APIs and SOAP Performance Monitoring APIs)
