Issue/Introduction

In Smarts ESM:
How to setup monitoring for VeloCloud Orchestrator without a user account having Operator level privileges ?
Unable to configure VeloCloud connectivity with non Operator level privilege user.
Unable to configure VeloCloud connectivity with Partner level privilege user.

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

Its mandatory to have the VeloCloud user be an Operator user.
Only the Operator user has the privilege use the REST API that is used for discovery and monitoring.
With Operator credentials Smarts is able to access all enterprises/tenants as result be able to retrieve list of all enterprises/tenants and associated edge devices, list of gateway pools, their associated gateways, and connected enterprises (tenants), where as Partner can access/manage subset of enterprises/tenants, so topology won't be complete.
