Issue/Introduction

The vCenter Server environment becomes unstable during the setup of vCenter High Availability (VCHA). Symptoms include:

  • The appliance state is out of sync.
  • Frequent failovers and network isolations occur.

Cause

This issue occurs because WAN connections are not supported for VCHA. VCHA requires a dedicated, high-fidelity, low-latency network to maintain synchronization and stability between nodes.
