Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • vMotion to an NVDS portgroup fails with error 'Network interface XXX uses network 'DVSwitch: xxx', which is not accessible.'
  • The vMotion operation fails with the above error when using the HTML5 vSphere Client but succeeds when using the vSphere Web Client.


Environment

VMware vCenter Server 6.7.x

Cause

The issue is caused by a software issue in the HTML5 client vMotion validation checks.

Resolution

The issue is resolved in vCenter  6.7 Update 3g, available at VMware Downloads.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue perform the vMotion operation using the vSphere Web Client.
