Issue/Introduction

To provide information / resolution to the users facing this issue while performing OSAM migrations.

Symptoms:
When a source Linux VM has odd sized memory, one cannot trigger an OSAM migration.

Cause

When a source Linux VM has odd sized memory, one cannot trigger an OSAM migration.

Source VMs which have odd sized memory (that is not a multiple of 4MB, as needed by vSphere),  Migrations of such VMs are not supported as is.

Even after resizing the memory to the next 4 MB slot, the migration still fails with error :  "Invalid Input (Memory size is not a multiple of 4MB)".

Resolution

*Versions where this is a known issue*: <R147

*Version where this is fixed*: 4.0.0

Workaround:
No workaround

Additional Information

*Relevant log’s location*: /common/admin/logs/app.log

 *Steps to reproduce*:
 1. Create a Linux VM with odd sized memory say 1025MB
 2. In the migration wizard, resize the memory to the next 4MB slot which is 1028MB
 3. Trigger a migration, and this fails with the error "Invalid Input (Memory size is not a multiple of 4MB)"

Impact/Risks:
There is a warning if we try to migrate a VM with odd sized memory, but user should be able to re-size the memory and proceed further. In this case, migration still fails even after re-sizing the memory
