Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
After updating the AD credentials in Password Management, vRA upgrades / Workload Domain integration fails.


Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 3.8.x

Resolution

The is known issue being investigating by VMware Engineering.


Workaround:
To workaround this issue, please follow the steps below:
  1. Update the AD credentials in the SDDC Manager Password Management (domain\domain_username).
  2. On each Iaas node update the credentials as below::
    • Log in the node VM.
    • Open Services.
    • Sort the list by "log on user".
    • For all the 'domain/domain_username' services, right click on the service and open Properties and update credentials in log on tab.
    • Restart service.
  3. Update the AD credentials in the AD domain so that they reflect the password change.
  4. Open an SSH to the SDDC Manager VM and change to root user:
su -
  1. Refresh the vRSLCM environment within SDDC Manager by running the below command from the SSH session on the SDDC manager VM:
curl -X PUT localhost/vrealize/vrslcm/environments?product=VRA
