vCenter Appliance 6.7.x VAMI update page shows vCenter 7.0.1 as an available update option

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The vCenter Appliance 6.7 VAMI update page shows vCenter 7.0.1 as an available update option
• When attempted to update the same, it throws an Error "The Patch is incompatible with the Current Server version."

 

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

Resolution

• There is no impact on the vCenter Appliance as the upgrade will report an Error 
• VMware is aware of the issue and is currently working on it.
• All previous vCenter 6.7 releases from vCenter 6.7 P03 and earlier will report this issue.
