Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Objects and Adapter instances are visible in the vRealize Operations Manager inventory when logged in as a local or LDAP user
  • Objects Adapter instances are not visible in the inventory when logged in as a vCenter Server user


Environment

VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.1.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.2.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager (Standalone) 5.8.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.x

Resolution

Users authenticated against vCenter Server do not have complete vRealize Operations Manager permissions.

This is an expected behavior.

VMware recommends to use either local or LDAP users when using vRealize Operations Manager.
