Reports run from vSphere World level are blank in vRealize Operations Manager 6.x or later

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When running a report in vRealize Operations Manager and selecting the vSphere World level object to run the report from, the report contents are blank.

Environment

VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.1.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.5.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 7.0.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.7.x

Resolution

This is expected behavior in vRealize Operations Manager 6.x and later.

The vSphere World level is a container, not a parent that includes children.

Workaround:
To work around this issue, run the report from the vCenter level or lower.
