  2. From the left menu, click Configure and then, click Cost Settings > Cloud Providers.
  3. Click the Edit option from the vertical ellipsis menu next to the VMware Cloud on AWS entry.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Download one of the rate card xlsx files attached to this article under the Attachments section on right side of this page.
  • Download VMware Cloud on AWS_ratecard_8.6.xlsx for use with vRealize Operations 8.6.x On-Prem.
  • Download VMware Cloud on AWS_ratecard_Cloud_8.10.xlsx for use with VMware Aria Operations (SaaS) and vRealize Operations 8.10 or later On-Prem.
Notes:
  • The attached rate cards consists of cost data for the following clouds: VMware cloud on AWS commercial cloud, VMware Cloud on AWS government cloud and VMware Cloud on AWS Outposts.
  • VMC on AWS Outposts Cost Data: The attached rate card has cost data per host based on a 3-year subscription cost for 8 hosts. The hosts for VMC on AWS Outposts are identified by entries that have the following text under the instance name column: i3en.metal-2tb.  If your subscription has a fewer number of hosts and/or there were some discounts if any, then calculate cost per host and update the attached rate card with cost per host specific to your circumstances.
  • VMC on AWS Government Cloud Cost Data: The hosts for VMC on AWS government cloud are identified by entries that start with the following text under the "Cloud Region" column: AWS GovCloud. Update the cost per host specific to your circumstances.
  • VMC on AWS commercial cloud cost data: Rest of the entries contain cost data for VMC on AWS commercial cloud. Update the cost per host specific to your circumstances.
  • VMware Aria Operations does not use data in the "Storage" worksheet of the attached rate card for VMware clouds. Hence, you do not have to update the cost data in the "Storage" worksheet of the attached rate card.  An update of cost might be required in the "Instance" worksheet of the attached rate card depending on your circumstances such as purchase date, price, etc.
  1. Back in the VMware Aria Operations UI, click Upload Rate Card to browse and select the downloaded rate card file, then click Open.
  2. Click Validate.
Note: VMware Aria Operations validates the rate card and reports success or failure. If errors are reported, you can correct the errors and proceed further.
  1. Click Finish.
