Issue/Introduction

This article provides steps on starting/resuming a virtual machine when launching Fusion. This applies to Fusion 4.x and above.

Environment

VMware Fusion Pro 10.x
VMware Fusion 6.x

Resolution

To set your virtual machine to start/resume when Fusion is launched:
 
  1. Open VMware Fusion.
  2. From the Apple menu bar, click Window > Virtual Machine Library.
  3. Right-click the virtual machine you want to work with.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. Click the General.
  6. Check Start automatically when VMware Fusion launches.
  7. Close the Settings window.
