Issue/Introduction

This article provides the steps to license VMware Player and VMware Workstation Pro.

Resolution

To license VMware Player/VMware Workstation Pro:

1. Launch VMware Player/ VMware Workstation Pro.
   
   
2. Navigate to Player > Help > Enter License Key.
   
   
3. Enter the serial number.
   
   The VMware Player/VMware Workstation Pro Activation Code is an alpha-numeric code.

• For VMware Player, this code is 25 digits.
• For VMware Workstation Pro, this code is 25 digits.

For example:

AALYG-20HVE-WHQ13-67MUP-XVMF3

Click OK.

You need not register license keys for the product.

• Product registration occurs automatically at the time of purchase for all VMware products. The license keys will be available in your Broadcom Support Portal
• If the licenses are purchased recently and you do not have them under your account please contact you SU/PC.

Note: You can, however, activate your VMware Player/ VMware Workstation Pro software without registering the license keys.
