Issue/Introduction

Hub queue size alarms occur when the queue size threshold is exceeded. The threshold and severity of the alarm are configurable using Advanced Alarm Configuration in the hub Raw Configuration settings.

Environment

- This article applies to all current versions of the hub probe.
- UIM 9.x or higher

Resolution

For alarms that display the text:

The queue 'data_engine' is 10 MB. Check the hub configuration.

The "queue is growing"  alarm threshold can be changed.

The default size (10 MB) can be overridden by setting the 'queue_growth_size' variable in the hub section of the hub probe Raw Configuration. The keyword may need to be added if it does not already exist in the configuration file.

The value is in MB.

The following parameters can be set to alarm when a queue in the hub starts growing:

queue_growth_severity
Specify the severity of the queue growth alarm.

queue_growth_size
Specify the size of the queue growth alarm.
