Initial deployment fails with "Unable to set the initial password. The initial password can only be set once." in vRealize Operations Manager 6.x or later

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The deployment of a new vRealize Operations Manager vApp fails after initial configuration with the following error: Unable to set the initial password. The initial password can only be set once.

Cause

Intermittent access to the configured NTP server or servers will result in a failed deployment.

Resolution

During initial set-up, leave the NTP section blank and continue installation as normal.
Once the vRealize Operations Manager instance has been successfully deployed and configured, you can go back in to set the NTP to your desired target using the product UI under Administration > Management > Cluster Management.
