End Point Operations Agent cannot establish connection with the End Point Operations Adapter

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• End Point Operations Agent cannot establish connection with the End Point Operations Adapter using AD credential in vRealize Operations Manager.
   
• Configuring Ep Ops agents fails with the error:
  
  unable to register the agent: Invalid username/password

Cause

 

 

Resolution

This is expected behavior in End point Operations agent.

 

Note: It is currently unsupported to use an AD credentials when configuring End Point Operations agent.

 

To resolve this issue, use the local admin credential when setting up the End point operations agent to establish connection with End point operations adapter.
