Cannot deploy probes to a robot - illegal SID - you must login to the appropriate domain to access probe

Issue/Introduction

Cannot deploy probes to a robot.

 

When deploying a probe to a robot with Infrastructure Manager I get the error message:

 

"illegal SID - you must login to the appropriate domain to access probe."

Environment

UIM 8.5 / UIM 9.x

Cause

This issue could be caused by a key that needs to be enabled in the hub: "ignore_ip" 

 

Resolution

Select the HUB and press Ctrl+P
Select: hubsec_setup_put
key: ignore_ip
value: yes

 

Check with:

hubsec_setup_get
key: ignore_ip

 

...should be set to yes

 

 

Additional Information

Also, check the box on the hub/General tab that says 'Disable IP validation'.

This is located in the lower right section under Advanced. 

 

Set to 'yes', then save changes and restart.
