VMware NSX Manager virtual appliance installation fails with the error: Operation timed out

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Cannot install VMware NSX Manager with the OVA file via the Deploy OVF Template dialog box.
• VMware NSX Manager installation with the OVA file via the Deploy OVF Template dialog box fails.
• You see the error similar to:
  
  Operation timed out.
  
   
• In the vmkernel.log located at /var/log, you see entries similar to:
  
  T22:42:57.645Z: [netCorrelator] 68481141031us: [vob.net.dvport.uplink.transition.down] Uplink: vmnic0 is down. Affected dvPort: 48/2c ea 39 50 f7 ac 0e 00-55 e3 1d d1 f3 22 c2 19. 1 uplinks up. Failed criteria: 128

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.0.x

Cause

This issue occurs when there is a problem with the physical infrastructure such as loss of connectivity to the storage device or a connectivity issue with physical NIC or switch.
