Invalid vrops master address
  • In the /var/log/vmware/vrlcm-server.log, you see entries similar to:

  • Navigating to https://vROPsIPorFQDN/casa/node/config in a browser yields:
{"Error_message_key":"general.failure","error_arguments":["1","Note: Forwarding request to 'systemctl is-enabled sshd.service'.\n"],"error_message":""}

Note: Substitute your vRealize Operations Manager master node's IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) for vROPsIPorFQDN above.
  • SSH is already enabled on all of the nodes in your vRealize Operations Manager cluster.

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Resolution

This is a known issue with vRealize Operations Manager and vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager, and will be resolved in a future release.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue, complete the steps below.
  1. Log into the vRealize Operations Manager Master node as root via Console.
  2. Run the following command to enable the SSH service:
systemctl enable sshd.service
  1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 on all nodes in the vRealize Operations Manager cluster.
  2. Retry the import of vRealize Operations Manager into vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager.
