vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager is a fully supported vCenter Server feature and VMware provides support for all Multi-Hypervisor Manager or vSphere related issues. For issues in the underlying third-party hypervisor platform (Microsoft Hyper-V, for example) VMware can only suggest workarounds or configuration changes, but actual issue resolution must be handled by the third-party hypervisor vendor. For example, issues with Hyper-V are handled by Microsoft Corporation.
What is vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager?
vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager is a component of VMware's Cloud Infrastructure Suite that deals with management of third-party host inventories.
vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager enables heterogeneous hypervisor support in vCenter Server by enabling administrators to work with both ESXi/ESX and third-party hosts (for example, Hyper-V) and virtual machines from within the vSphere Client graphical user interface.
How does vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager work?
