    This implementation is not part of the Windows Platform FIPS validated cryptographic algorithms.

    Note: This can occur at any point where vRealize Automation attempts to encrypt data.

This issue occurs because vRealize Automation is built upon Microsoft WCF and WCF is not FIPS compliant.


This is a known issue affecting VMware vRealize Automation.

Currently, there is no resolution or workaround.
In vRealize Automation 7.2 the appliance has FIPS 140-2 compliance, but the IaaS components are not FIPS compliant and this issue may occur when installing the IaaS components.

Note: FIPS is not compliant with vRealize Automation Guest Agent also.
