UIM- How to obtain version and configuration information for portlets and links to aid in troubleshooting?

Issue/Introduction

Sometimes Support will ask you for version information when working on an issue. If Support requests product version information on the UMP / WASP or a particular portlet you are having and issue with, below are the instructions to find that information.

 

 

 

 

Environment

Release: UIM Server 7.6 through 9.1
Component:  UMP all supported releases

Resolution

To determine what version of a portlet is running via UMP/wasp you can use this URL:
http://<waspserver>/<portletname>/jsp/diag.jsp

Examples:
http://support-nms/qoschart/jsp/diag.jsp
http://support-nms/maintenancemode/jsp/diag.jsp

This will include the following information

• Version
• User
• Path
• Headers
• Session Attributes
• System Properties

If ever you have any question about what the portlet folder name is i.e. qoschart you can find the correct name for it by opening up wasp and looking at the Webapps tab for the path, this will give you the name.
