VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.x

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.x.

Currently, there is no resolution.

To work around this issue, you need to replace three .jar files:

To replace the three .jar files:
  1. Log in to the Master node as root.
  2. Stop the vcops service by running this command:

    service vmware-vcops stop

  3. Run these commands to take a backup of the .jar files to be replaced:

    cp /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/common/lib/vcops-collector-controller-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar /tmp/vcops-collector-controller-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar.$(date +%F.%H%M)
    cp /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/common/lib/vcops-analytics-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar /tmp/vcops-analytics-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar.$(date +%F.%H%M)
    cp /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/suiteapi/extensions/migrationtool/vcops-analytics-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar /tmp/suiteapi.vcops-analytics-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar.$(date +%F.%H%M)

  4. Using SCP, move the attached .jar files to these locations on the Master node, overwriting the original files:

    2117639_vcops-collector-controller-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar = /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/common/lib/
    2117639_vcops-analytics-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar = /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/common/lib/ & /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/suiteapi/extensions/migrationtool/

Note: Ensure to rename the downloaded files to vcops-analytics-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar and vcops-collector-controller-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

  5. Start the vcops service by running this command:

    service vmware-vcops start

  6. Repeat Steps 1-5 on all nodes in the cluster.
  7. Log in to the admin user interface and take the cluster offline.
  8. After the cluster is completely offline, bring the cluster back online.
