Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When trying to upload an OVF or ISO files to vCloud Government Services (vCGS) through the user interface, you experience these symptoms:
  • The uploads get stuck at 0% initializing.
  • Upload an OVF or ISO files to vCGS using the API fails.

Resolution

All ISO and OVF uploads to the vCGS vCloud Director Web portal as well as to the vCGS API require your public IP address be allowed by our support team in order for uploads to work successfully. To get your IP allowed, file a support request with VMware Support and note this KB article ID in the problem description. For more information, see Filing a Support Request in Customer Connect (2006985).

If you do not know your public IP address, go to https://www.whatismyip.com/ to find your IP address.
