The VMware vSphere Web Client does not display scheduled tasks initiated from the VMware vSphere Client

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

When logged in as a user with administrative permissions on a folder in VMware vCenter Server, you experience these symptoms:

• You are able to start a scheduled task within the VMware vSphere Client as that user
• You do not see the scheduled task in the VMware vSphere Web Client
• You see the scheduled task in the Recent Tasks pane within the VMware vSphere Web Client

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 5.5.x
VMware vCenter Server 6.0.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0
VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5

Cause

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware vCenter Server 5.5 and 6.0.

Currently, there is no resolution or workaround.
