In VMware NSX for vSphere 6.x, the NSX agents on an ESXi host are uninstalled after unregistering the NSX Solution Plug-in

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
In VMware NSX for vSphere 6.x environment, when the NSX solution plug-in is unregistered:

• The NSX agents are uninstalled on the ESXi host

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.1.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x

Resolution

This behavior is by design in VMware NSX for vSphere 6.x.

Note: VMware recommends not to un-register the NSX Solution plug-in manually.

To avoid this issue, ensure that you follow these best practices when moving an ESXi host out of the cluster.
