"HTTP Status 404" error seen when you download for Java Runtime Environment in vRA 7.3

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

When you click on the link to download Linux Software Installers, you see these symptoms:

 

• Download link for Java Runtime Environment fails with the error:
  
  HTTP Status 404 .
   
• You are using the download links:
  
  https://vra_fqdn/software/download/vmware-jre-1.8.0_121-fcs.x86_64.rpm
  
  and
  
  https://vra_fqdn/software/download/vmware-jre-1.8.0_121-fcs.i586.rpm

Cause

This issue occurs due to incorrect HTML link.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware vRealize Automation 7.4, available at VMware Downloads.

 

To work around the issue, use these download links to download Java Runtime Environment:

 

• https://vra_fqdn/software/download/vmware-jre-1.8.0_121-fcs_b31.x86_64.rpm
