To resolve this issue, disable virtual CPU performance counters on the affected virtual machine.
To disable virtual CPU performance counters:
- Log in to the vSphere Web Client.
Note: This setting is only available in the vSphere Web Client.
- Right-click the affected virtual machine and click Edit Settings.
- To locate a virtual machine, select a data center, folder, cluster, resource pool, host, or vApp
- Click the Related Objects tab and click Virtual Machines.
- On the Virtual Hardware tab, expand CPU and disable virtualized performance counters.
- Click OK.
Once you confirmed VM able to power-on the VM in the EVC cluster, only then do power-off the VM and set the CPU performance counters again.
