Symptoms:
Adding a license key or fabric group in VMware vRealize Automation 6.1.x (formerly known as VMware vCloud Automation Center for Server) fails
After submitting the license key, the Internet Explorer may display this error :
The webpage cannot be found
When accessing the Infrastructure and Catalog tabs, you see this error:
HTTP Status 404 - /vCAC/VMPSAdmin/EditLicenseKey.aspx type Status report message /vCAC/VMPSAdmin/EditLicenseKey.aspx description The requested resource is not available. VMware vFabric tc Runtitme 2.9.4.RELEASE /7.0.47.A.RELEASE
Environment
VMware vCloud Automation Center for Desktop 6.1.x VMware vCloud Automation Center for Server 6.1.x
Cause
This issue occurs when you run the command to re-register the IaaS endpoint based and use /vCAC/ instead of /vcac/.
Resolution
This is a known issue affecting VMware vRealize Automation 6.1.x (formerly known as VMware vCloud Automation Center for Server). Currently, there is no resolution.
To work around this issue:
Log in to the IaaS server as an administrator.
Open a command prompt as an administrator.
Run these commands using the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of your IaaS server (or load balancer, where applicable):
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\vCAC\Server\Model Manager Data\Cafe"
Vcac-Config.exe RegisterEndpoint --EndpointAddress https://<FQDN of IaaS or LB>/vcac/ --Endpoint ui -v
