VMware Workstation Pro / Player 15.0 unable to run on Windows 10 1903 post the recent updates:

• October 8, 2019—KB4517389 (OS Build 18362.418)
• October 3, 2019—KB4524147 (OS Build 18362.388)
• September 26, 2019—KB4517211 (OS Build 18362.387)

VMware Workstation Player 15.x (Windows)
VMware Workstation Pro 15.x (Windows)

Resolution

• For users using VMware Workstation Pro / Player 15.0, upgrade to Workstation Pro / Player 15.1 or 15.5.
• For users using VMware Workstation Pro / Player 14.x:
  • Apply Microsoft update KB4524570
  • Download VMware Workstation Pro / Player 14.1.8 and upgrade to this version:
    • VMware Workstation Player 14.1.8
    • VMware Workstation Pro 14.1.8
• For users using VMware Workstation Pro / Player 12.x and earlier, try one of the following workarounds:
  • Uninstall related Microsoft KBs
  • The workaround as mentioned in Broadcom Communities
