To work around this issue, use the Migrate option to invoke the migration wizard.
To migrate virtual machines:
  1. Right-click the virtual machine and click Migrate.
  2. In the Migrate wizard, select the Change Host option.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Expand the cluster to which you are going to vMotion the virtual machine.
  5. Select the Allow host selection with this cluster option at the bottom of the window.

Note: If this option is not selected, vMotion picks a random host to move the virtual machine.

  8. Click Next.
  9. Select the vMotion Priority.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Review the selected vMotion options.
