    • The browse window attempts to load, but closes without displaying any items.
    • The UI displays the error 'Invalid argument'.

  • vRealize Orchestrator action categories have spaces in the names.

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 7.1.x
VMware vRealize Automation 7.2.x
VMware vRealize Automation 7.0.x

Cause

This issue occurs when retrieving items from vRealize Orchestrator through the REST API, spaces are not decoded correctly.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vRealize Automation 7.3, available at VMware Downloads.
To work around this issue if you do not want to upgrade, remove the spaces from the action categories (or folders) in vReazlie Orchestrator:
  1. Log in to the vReazlie Orchestrator client.
  2. Select Design from the drop down at the top of the interface.
  3. Select the Actions tab (i.e., the tab with the gear icon).
  4. Review the folders for items with spaces.
Note: The vCloud Director plugin currently has two items with space:

com.vmware.library.vCloud.vApp Template
com.vmware.library.vCloud.Admin.Extension.VIM Server

Do not change these items.
