vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager agent binaries fail to upload to vRealize Automation machines

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When creating an environment within Lifecycle Manager, the LCM Agent binaries upload precheck may fail with:

Uploading the LCM agent binaries failed for node uuid.

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 2.x
VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 1.x

Cause

If a service account is being used that has not actually logged into the OS itself, the directory structure in %temp% to place the agent binaries does not yet exist.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager.

Workaround:
To work around the issue, log into the machine in question as the service account being used.
This will create the directory and allow the agent binaries to be uploaded, and the task in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager can be tried again.
