Resolution

To disable host name masking and restore real host names on the Dashboard:
  1. From the Data Manager on the Collector, click Admin > Options. Deselect Don't send host and domain names.
  2. Force the Collector to export a new inventory file. For more information, see Enabling Force Full Export on the Collector (1004124).
  3. Wait for the Dashboard to process the new inventory file, this typically takes 6 to 10 hours depending on time of day.
To match the pseudonym keys with masked host names:
  1. Login to Optimize.vmware.com, and then click on the Capacity Planner logo on the top left. It will bring up a list of Projects and Companies.
  2. Click the Companies tab, then click the company you need the host name masks from.
  3. From the Dashboard, click Administration > Security Policy > Host and Domain Masking > Export Pseudonym keys. Save this file on, or send the file to the Collector.
  4. From the Data Manager on the Collector, click File > Import > Pseudonym Keys. Select the file exported from the Dashboard.
