Performance Dashboard Enterprise Summary shows no servers, only the Industry Average

Issue/Introduction

When the Performance Dashboard (Performance > Enterprise Summary) is opened, o nly the "Industry Average" value is being displayed instead of a list of servers .


Environment

VMware Capacity Planner 2.1.x
VMware Capacity Planner 2.5.x
VMware Capacity Planner 2.6.x

Resolution

This issue happens when there is no domain-typed system group defined.
 
You can temporarily view the Performance data for individual servers by setting the "Group By" filter to "Servers" from the Performance Dashboard page.
 
To create Domain groupings to correct this issue permanently:
  1. Click Optimize > System Groups.
  2. At the bottom of the page, select any of LanMan, DNS, or Active Directory.
  3. Enter a name for the group, and click Add New Group.
  4. Click Action when the page refreshes.
  5. Select all servers in the environment, and click >.
  6. Click Apply, and Close.

The performance dashboard now shows a link to the Domain grouping you created. Click this link to show a list of available servers.
