Environment

Resolution

The data synchronization failure is caused by the incorrect proxy settings. The proxy settings must be set manually.
To manually set the proxy in Capacity Planner Data Manager:
  1. Start the VMware Capacity Planner Data Manager.
  2. Click Admin > Options > Connection. S elect Manual proxy settings.
  3. Complete the Manual Proxy settings fields as appropriate. If you are unsure about the settings, consult a network administrator for that location.

Note: If you receive the error The requested operation can not be carried out because the handle supplied is not in the correct state , ensure that the user specified has the correct permissions on the proxy server or try prefixing the user name with the domain name. For example, DOMAIN\username .
Note: Even if you have a proxy specified in Control Panel > Internet Options, you must specify the proxy in Data Manager, especially if the network uses a policy or proxy script to configure the settings.
