This is a known issue affecting the Management Pack for Horizon (both on-prem and SaaS), there is no resolution at this time. Please subscribe to this article to be informed when updates are published.
Workaround:
To workaround this issue for on-prem environments:
- SSH to the VMware Aria Operations primary node as root
Note: If you do not know, or have forgotten your root password, refer to
- Take a backup of the describe.xml file of the Management Pack for Horizon (MP4H) adapter
cp /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound/vrho-adapter/conf/describe.xml /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound/vrho-adapter/conf/describe.xml.orig
- Using a text editor such as vi, edit the /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound/vrho-adapter/conf/describe.xml file
- Replace objectType=UAG with objecttype=UnifiedAccessGateway (in total, 14 occurrences will be found)
- Save the file and exit
- Repeat steps 1-5 on all nodes in the VMware Aria Operations cluster
- Log in to the VMware Aria Operations Product UI as an administrator
- Navigate to Administration > Redescribe
- Under Adapter Info, click VMware Horizon Adapter
- Click Redescribe
- Click Yes on the pop-up dialog prompting "Do you want to revert adapter content settings to their default values?"
- Allow a collection cycle (5 minutes) to complete before checking for UAG metrics at the Horizon World level

- Navigate to Configure > Policies, and then click Default Policy
- Click Edit Policy
- Click Metrics & Properties, and then select the object type as Horizon World
- Expand the Super Metrics section, and change the 9 imported Super metrics to Enabled state
- Click Save
- Verify that Super Metrics are now displayed for Horizon World object
- Navigate to Visualize > Dashboards > Manage Dashboards
- Select Import from More Actions
- When prompted, provide the attached zip file (UAG_Performance_Dashboard.zip)
- (Optional) Select Overwrite option
- Click Import
- Allow a collection cycle (5 minutes) to complete before checking for UAG metrics at the Horizon World level
