To resolve this issue, ensure that correct vCenter Server FQDN is entered in the advanced settings.
To change FQDN of the vCenter Server in advanced settings:
Note: Before running these steps verify that the FQDN can be resolved from the machine running PowerCLI commands.
- Log in to the vSphere Client.
- Go to Administration > vCenter Server Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Scroll down to find the vCenter Server FQDN entry and enter the full FQDN of the vCenter Server.
- Click OK
