Unable to download Client integration plug-in for vSphere web client

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

While accessing the vSphere Web client if Client integration plug-in is not installed, you experience these symptoms:

• You are provided link to download Client integration plug-in at the vSphere Web client login page.
• When you click the Download Client integration Plug-in link, the download fails.

Environment

VMware vSphere Web Client 6.0.x
VMware vSphere Web Client 5.5.x

Cause

This issue occurs due to security restriction in the environment preventing downloading of files with certain extension types such as .exe.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. Download the Client integration plugin from the link below:
    

   vCenter Server Release Version	Download URLs
   vCenter Server 6.0 Update 3c	http://vsphereclient.vmware.com/vsphereclient/VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0-6823256.zip
   vCenter Server 5.5 Update 3e	http://vsphereclient.vmware.com/vsphereclient/VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-5.6.0.zip

2. Extract and install the Client integration plugin.
