Issue/Introduction

This article provides vRNI Common Data Source Errors.

Environment

VMware vRealize Network Insight 3.x
VMware vRealize Network Insight 2.x

Resolution

These are common data source errors:

• Invalid Response from Data Source: vRealize Network Insight Proxy was unable to process the information received from the Data Source as the information was not in the expected format.
   
• No data being received: vRealize Network Insight Platform VM is not receiving data from vRealize Network Insight Proxy VM for that data source.
   
• No data being received: vRealize Network Insight Platform VM and Proxy VM are not running the same version of product
• Recent data may not be available, due to processing lag: vRealize Network Insight Platform VM is overloaded and lagging behind in processing data.
• Request timed out, please try again: Could not complete request in specified time.
   
• Failed for unknown reason, please retry or contact support: Request failed for some unknown reason.
