Issue/Introduction

vRealize Operations 8.2 enhances the capacity calculations for vSAN, utilizing the new slack space metric provided by the new vSAN API in vSAN 7.0 Update 1 (7.0 U1).

Resolution

Starting in vRealize Operations 8.2, the new slack space metric provided by the vSAN API in vSAN 7.0 U1 is added to the capacity calculation to dynamically calculate Usable Capacity for vSAN based on the amount of slack space used; providing a truer to life view of your vSAN capacity.

Note that these changes only affect Capacity calculations.  Cost calculations for vSAN are still hard coded to use a 30% buffer.
