Issue/Introduction
The remote CLI for ESX Server 3i does not list the MTU for physical network cards. The column for MTU of physical NICs is not present in the output of this command. This is different from ESX Server 3.5 where the command esxcfg-nics -l lists MTU of the physical NICs.
To see the MTU of physical network cards that belong to a vSwitch, issue the esxcfg-vswitch -l command and view the output. The MTU of the physical NICs is the same as the MTU of the vSwitch shown in the output of this command. To see the MTU of physical NICs that are not added to any vSwitch, select File > Export > Export DiagnosticData in the VI Client.
