TVS Management Pack for Cisco Networking virtualized ports will only show metrics for <= 17 interfaces

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• After installing and configuring TVS Management Pack for Cisco Networking to monitor virtualized ports, metrics will only be collected for interface ports 1 to 17.
• Currently, due to the way SNMP tree's function in SNMP4J, the virtualization prevents them from accessing the OID's necessary to collect I/O metrics.

Environment

VMware vRealize Operations 8.10.x
VMware vRealize Operations 8.6.x

Cause

There is a limit in SNMP if the interfaces are virtualized where metrics will not be collected for more than 17 interfaces.

Resolution

Enable NX-API on the Cisco device, this will allow the TVS MP for Cisco Networking to collect metrics for all interfaces.

Impact/Risks:
Metrics will not be collected for interfaces 18, 19, etc.
