Upgrading Management Pack for Openstack for vROps from 6.1.0 to 6.2.1 can lead to errors validating connection

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Upgrading the Management Pack for OpenStack for vROps from 6.1.0 to 6.2.1 can lead to errors validating connection.
• The following error is seen while validating the connection

Wait for response of task "Test connection" is timed out for collector  'vRealize Operations Manager Collector-*"

Environment

VMware vRealize Operations 8.10.x
VMware vRealize Operations 8.6.x

Cause

The issue has been found to be related to certain firewall ports not being opened.

Resolution

Ensure that the following TCP ports are open from the vROps collector node where the adapter is configured to the OpenStack API host:

• 5000
• 9696
• 8774
• 443
• 80

The user is unable to establish a connection to the OpenStack API Host endpoint
